Yes, Bhokani major tax collection is through digital system UPI payment. Grampanchayat has uploaded all the records of receipt and expenditure on egramswaraj website. It has enhanced accountability and easy monitoring. Grampanchayat website has all the details about tax collection and utilization.

  • #Gram Panchayat Bhokani : Financial Self-Sufficiency Model Bhokani Gram Panchayat exemplifies innovative local governance through strategic resource management:

1. Bhokani is an ISO 9001:2015 certified Gram Panchayat. This certificate pertains to the quality management system for providing social services, environmental management, digital and technical solutions.

2. Third position in Maharashtra state within the population category of 1,500 to 2,500 in the Majhi Vasundhara 4.0 competition, earning a prize amount of 50 lakh rupees.

3. A massive work on environment such as:

      • 29000+ trees planted and conserved successfully.
      • GP has created own 4 plant nurseries which has capacity of 6000 trees and it is made from recycle items.
      • Roadside tree plantations and bamboo plantation is mainly focused.
      • A Sainik Samman Baag (Soldier's Honor Garden) has been established in Bhokani village to honor serving, retired, and martyred soldiers. In this unique initiative, 33 konshilas with their name and details and fruit tree with each one were planted, each dedicated to a soldier from the village. The families of martyred soldiers were also honored as part of this event. Also developed recycle tyre tank dedicated to theme which is fabulous.

4. Plastic Ban Activities

      • Gave one kg plastic and take half kg sugar- funded from sarpanch’s honorarium
      • Installed PET bottle crusher machine in grampanchayat which is run through women's self-help group (SHG).
      • Installed cloth bag vending machine in gram panchayat

5. Renewable Energy

      • Rooftop solar systems are installed on 100 percent public buildings and are in efficient working conditions also on many of private buildings.
      • GP does not pay a penny to MSEB because every public building and offices is polarized.
      • Whole water supply system including well pump is polarized.
      • 5 charging points is installed by for EV charging.
      • Biogas plants are distributed to farmers with subsidized amount.

6. Water conservation :

      • 32 recharge shaft borewell of 100 feet depth is drilled to increase groundwater
      • Rainwater Harvesting system is installed on 100 percent public buildings and often many private buildings.
      • Rain Gauge is installed and monitored well.
      • Water filter plant is installed which is completely solarized which gaves chilled water 24/7 through Water ATM and 100 percent villagers use Prepaid ATM ard and has option of coins too.. its waste water is reused to plants.
      • Sludge of dams is removed and reused for tree plantation on hard rock.
      • CCT and deep CCT techniques were used for water conservation.
      • Prevention of water pollution of water bodies is done by GP by creating Dhobi Ghaat and artificial pond for idols during festivals.
      • Chain of 11 check dam is built connected with major 3 bigger dams which is rejuvenated

7. Education

      • Both the schools Zilla parishad and High school is digital.
      • E-learning, conceptual and application based learning is provided to the student.
      • Both the Schools have solarized and digital setup installed.
      • Both of our Anganwadis is model with help of Palvi NGO and digital and also runs on solar energy..

8. Tourism 

      • Built 8 selfie points on the theme of rare and endangered species of biodiversity conservation and awareness they are of Royal Bengal Tiger, Great Hornbill, Galapagos Tortoise, Toco Toucan, Sarus Crane, Flamingo, Cheetah, and Indian Rock Python.
      • Four fully bamboo constructed and well-structured bamboo huts are prepared by GP in which a newspaper reading center, extinct traditional museum, meditation center and other activities is arranged.
      • All our parks consist of our own eco-friendly bamboo compound which prevents encroachment.


9. Womens Empowerment :

      • India's first Mahila Sansad Bhavan Office creating GP,where meetings of womens held.
      • Total 15 self-help groups (SHG) are in village from which 13 is womens SHG from which they are financially literate and become stable in their businesses.
      •  Sanitary Napkin Vending machines are installed in anganwadis each.


10. Organic Farming

      • Jeevamrit unit is established by GP and which is run by women SHG from which pesticides and chemicals is replaced and useful bacteria’s are used in farming.
      • Vermicompost unit is established by GP in each garden and schools which is run by women SHG which increase fertility and boost organic carbon of soil.
      • GP has banned to burn crop residue,instead use it for composting.


11. Digital Services:

      • Whole village is covered by CCTV surveillance including GP office which is monitored from GP only.
      • The whole GP office has Wi-Fi internet connectivity and staffs are provided with Either desktops or laptops for day to day activities.
      • The GP also has a projector for Gram Sabhas, meetings etc.
      • The GP also has a facility for Video Conferencing with LCD to monitored activities.
      • The Bhokani GP office houses a Gram Seva Kendra, set up to provide various e-services to the citizens of the GP.
      • Some of the services provided by the Gram Seva Kendra are:
        - Birth Registration & Certificate.
        - Death Registration & Certificate.
        - Marriage Registration & Certificate.
        - Banking Activities.
        - Agricultural e-Services
        - Payment of Electricity Bills.

        - All types of recharges (e.g. mobile, DTH etc)
        - Payment of all post-paid bills.

12. Healthcare :

      • Received Chanderi card from ZP for clean and safe water.
      • Both indoor and outdoor gym for regular exercise is built.
      • Facility of Healthcare Examination Couch is available.


13. Waste Management :

      • GP has its own tractor for waste and water management.
      • Sewage water is reused by each and every house by using it to kitchen garden and by increasing groundwater by absorption pits in each home.
      • Bhokani is first village from our taluka which is declared as ODF+.
      • Also dustbins are collected regularly through tricycle.
      • All wet waste is used for preparing compost and dry is shifted to our MRF center.
